RE: JellyPlayer: Alpha 2 - gaming09 - 2023-09-29

this release is great from the first one i used,  is it a wrapper for the webplayer? or is there a custom player like exo or mpv?
I would love a "stats for nerds" type of thing to show stream quality if its transcoding etc and if possible click to pause instead of using the play pause on the bottom.

Thanks for the hard work

RE: JellyPlayer: Alpha 2 - Prayag - 2023-09-30

This uses native webviews hence allowing direct play on supported devices. Player still needs a lot of work and feat like stats for nerd are planned for next alpha release

I very much like the potential of this player once basic bugs and features are dealt with. It doesn't even have the extremely annoying bug of teleporting to another monitor when exiting fullscreen that the official client has!

Looks good, but I try it every few weeks (building a production binary) and the UI is incredible slow, basically frozen. I'm on Linux.
