Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Nex1337 - 2024-08-30 Hello I have installed the latest stable version of jellyfin on Ubuntu 24.04, unfortunately I am having trouble getting it to work because an error pops up, what could be the cause of this? (see screenshot for details). RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Fate - 2024-08-30 can you post everything in: journalctl -u jellyfin.service --no-pager to pastebin and link it here? or journalctl -u jellyfin.service --since=yesterday --no-pager if the other is too much text RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Nex1337 - 2024-08-30 Hey, I have already managed to solve it, by restarting jellyfin again. I have another problem, I'm trying to enable QSV transcoding and unfortunately it doesn't work, I do everything according to the instructions. My hardware is intel N100. That log does not contain the transcoding data. There should be a separate jellyfin trancode log. In addition to that I would still like to see: journalctl -u jellyfin.service --since=yesterday --no-pager dmesg | grep i915 vainfo did you install any intel drivers? RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-30 Also, what are your hardware specs? RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Nex1337 - 2024-08-31 @Fate Results: 1. journalctl: https://pastebin.com/Zg1Y4BCk 2. dmesg: https://pastebin.com/MPd16Fhx 3. vainfo: https://pastebin.com/BHxu3RDT @TheDreadPirate It's a Aoostar R1 Mini Nas (16GB 3200mhz, 256 SSD): https://aoostar.com/products/aoostar-r1-2bay-nas-intel-n100-mini-pc-with-w11-pro-lpddr4-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd?srsltid=AfmBOoqcJoJpCVAsX_uZ7sYG-GQjAyi2iDXg8GdUG4V1snMnMFrwAqed I also noticed, when watching a 4k video on a 1080p monitor, the playback info says it is direct play and the CPU usage is ~30% https://ibb.co/86qTqZn Thanks for help RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Fate - 2024-08-31 (2024-08-31, 06:59 AM)Nex1337 Wrote: @FateHmm the QSV seems to be setup correctly. But I never see any video transcodes. I only requested audio transcodes in the logs. 30% CPU for direct play seems to be a bit on the high side. But could be okay depending on what the source format/bitrate is and if it needs to remux the container. Are you sure QSVis not working? RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Nex1337 - 2024-08-31 @Fate It doesn't work because usually the N100 CPU usage for 1 transcoding is ~5-10% (I checked on windows 10). On the other hand, it puzzles me why it doesn't transcode a 4k movie when I watch it on a FHD monitor just uploads as directplay RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Fate - 2024-08-31 (2024-08-31, 12:36 PM)Nex1337 Wrote: @Fate That is no reliable metric. Show the ffmpeg transcoding log then. CPU usage: 6-7% https://ibb.co/LdKDbF9 |
