They did not remove the "video limitation". They actually clarified it.

They offer a separate service (not free) that allows streaming video.

Setting up tailscale is enough for me. I used to use a reverse proxy before switching providers and discovering tailscale. Very, very easy to setup and install.

Reverse proxies are a bit more convenient but you gotta make sure nobody else but you (and your other users) access that.
