They did not remove the "video limitation". They actually clarified it.

They offer a separate service (not free) that allows streaming video.

I run Jellyfin behind a reverse proxy with fail2ban and only allow LAN access unless I'm using a VPN. Also disabled remote admin and auto-login to keep things cleaner.
