RE: Nvidia not being used for transcoding - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-18 I doubt it is thermal throttling. Even a Raspberry Pi can transcode audio very quickly. Audio transcoding just isn't that computationally demanding. Same with subtitle burn in. You system shouldn't need to boost to full clock speed. Having said that, it will slow down transcodes due to the GPU->CPU->GPU transfers. The unknown factor here is how your GPU is connected to the laptop. What interface is it using? RE: Nvidia not being used for transcoding - mati123321 - 2025-02-18 Ok, I also saw an option to throttle playback, as it was transcoding the whole video at once, which fixes the multiple playbacks at the same time. Yet again thanks for help I use x1 external pcie adapter, so yeah, as slow as it can get |
