RE: Dolby Vision MKV + Android TV - remux not working - theguymadmax - 2025-04-10 FLAC 7.1 doesn't work for me on the Android TV client, but that’s a separate from the DV issue. For that, you can go to Preferences > Developer Options, then enable "Prefer FFmpeg for audio playback." I’d only recommend using this setting for compatibility issues, like with FLAC 7.1 audio. RE: Dolby Vision MKV + Android TV - remux not working - awfulfun - 2025-04-10 Amazing, that fixed playback for the 1080p file, thank you Is there any way to force transcoding that doesn't meaningfully reduce video or audio quality? RE: Dolby Vision MKV + Android TV - remux not working - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-11 There is pretty much no discernible drop in quality for AUDIO, regardless. How much quality you lose with video transcoding depends on your hardware. Recent-ish Intel and Nvidia GPUs will both transcode with little or no noticeable drop in quality. |
