RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-21

I have already open TCP and UDP for port 8096

RE: No IP Address only localhost - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-21

Click on Start > type Resource Monitor > click Network tab > expand Listening Ports table

Find jellyfin.exe on port 8096. What is the text in the Firewall Status column?

And can you share your full jellyfin logs via privatebin.net?

RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-22

Hi,

Here is the link and now I'm unable to start my server

RE: No IP Address only localhost - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-22

Code:
2025-04-22 20:20:22.185 +08:00] [FTL] [1] Main: Unhandled Exception
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\config\migrations.xml' is denied.

Were permissions changed on the jellyfin app directory? Or the user that runs Jellyfin? What happens if you run the tray app as admin?

RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-22

Now I can seem to go into jellyfin server after running as a admin and I didn't change any permission on the jellyfin app directory

RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-22

Also I've check in Resource Monitor for Jellyfin for Listening Ports in Firewall Status is: Not Allowed, Not Restricted

RE: No IP Address only localhost - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-22

Is your network interface set to private?

RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-22

Huh, I just check in my Firewall settings that Jellyfin was to block connection and the profile was only set to public only, so I change it to private and allow the connection

RE: No IP Address only localhost - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-22

Is it working now?

RE: No IP Address only localhost - IPRED - 2025-04-22

Yup but I still don't have a IP Address to connect from my phone to my server since it's still using localhost

Shouldn't it bind to my local server ip address?

Here is the log when starting up
