I've just tried to reproduce the issue and this is the log. In the Playback Info it was also written that the video codec (h265) wasn't supported, and that it was being transcoded to h264. So it seems that there is also video transcoding, but still the image appears washed out (I had to change it from .log to .log.txt otherwise it wouldn't let me upload it)

Check VPP tone mapping. Make sure you have the Intel OpenCL package installed.

I have checked VPP tone mapping and still the image appears washed out. As far as making sure that I have the Intel OpenCL package installed, I followed the official guide (https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/administration/hardware-acceleration/intel#configure-with-linux-virtualization ) for using hardware acceleration on docker and at step 6 (where one would check for the OpenCL status) it prompts to run the following command

which I am interpreting as it being installed and in good status. Am I mistaken? If so, how should I go about installing it?

What kind of video is this? It doesn't look like HDR10 or DV. Is it HLG or something? Can you show me the media info for this video?

If I enable low-power hardware encoding for HVEC, nothing changes (whichI think makes sense since when it transcodes, it's transcoding to h.264). If I enable low-power hardware encoding for h.264 I get the following popup:
