I’ve been playing with it for some older anime rips, and it does a decent job if you tweak settings per scene—though it can oversharpen if you push it. I once cleaned up a 480p DVD intro, then ran the subs and credits text through https://humanizerai.com to keep the style natural after retyping them.

With an Nvidia RTX GPU, Super Resolution VSR is insane !
I watch old DVD and shows with it, Scrubs and Malcolm looks amazing now
Needs a bit of configuration but it can works in Potplayer, MPC, web browsers, etc.
