This is very disappointing. QuickConnect can’t really be considered a proper alternative. Are we seriously expected to sit in front of the TV with both a computer and a phone just to enter PINs across two devices? That might work for teenagers, but it’s certainly not practical for a family in a traditional living room setup.
And simply staying logged in is basically unacceptable when you have children. Competitors solved this problem more than ten years ago.
Is there really no way to set this up—at least partially—in the elegant way Plex does it? For example, just one PIN per user, after logging in once, and that’s it?

I'm very new to Jellyfin and have the same question. From what I'm reading, it appears that setting a PIN used to be an option but has been removed? If so, why? If my 7 year old can access my library and watch R movies, this is a hard no. I definitely want to give him access to his G and PG movies.
Netflix and Amazon both have the option to set per-user pins (or none at all.) I really hope this is an option because I'm loving the program. But it's dead in the water if I can't restrict users.
