Is Jellyfin installed on Proxmox or not?

You might get better help with SFTP & Proxmox by asking for help on their forum: https://forum.proxmox.com/

jellyfin instance is installed in a lxc docker container in proxmox, proxmox with all instances runs on a computer, different from the one I'm trying to access from, that computer is dedicated to proxmox, there is no other operating system, are you sure it's a "thing" that concerns proxmox?, because, I repeat, before I was able to do it without doing anything strange or different, I'll try to ask there too

Most likely yes. Jellyfin is in no way related to Filezilla. And as @TheDreadPirate already stated, Jellyfin has absolutely no built-in SFTP.

Jellyfin used to have the ability to add a network share from the library settings. Maybe you're getting confused with that.

RE: No sftp to server - fastfan - 2024-07-23

No, I'm absolutely sure of what I'm saying: sftp, I did it a week ago and it worked, jellyfin with nothing else installed in the container, nothing different, always with root.
Maybe I understood the reason: the last time I installed it I used an installation script (don't ask which one because I don't remember it :\) could it be that it automatically installed something that allowed me to do sftp?
However, how can I enable this network share? I looked in the network settings but I can't seem to find anything

As I said, Jellyfin used to have a network share option. It was removed with v10.9.

Are you trying to use SFTP from inside the container?

Something totally different and that only worked for Kodi AFAIK as a pointer to an already existing network share.

Jellyfin itself never had or has in any install script or method that we provide, installed or used any SFTP or otherwise network file protocol client or server.

Check the source code on github if you dont belive us.

No, I'm doing sftp from another windows pc

RE: No sftp to server - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2024-07-24

I think we've well established that Jellyfin is not responsible for SFTP not working on your system at this point.

You'll need to look for help online on how to set it up again.

Here's a helpful guide that I found with a simple search: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-sftp-to-securely-transfer-files-with-a-remote-server

Try following it to see if it helps set up SFTP for you.

Ok thanks anyway
