RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-31 In your prior logs you were direct "streaming", meaning the video is unmodified but the audio is transcoded. Audio transcoding always happens on the CPU. Both of those latest logs are HDR content being tone mapped to SDR. Much slower and more intensive. But the N100 should be able to handle that. The stuttering may be phone performance or network performance? Its a pretty big video. The transcoded video is over 50Mbps. RE: Jellyfin server error on Ubuntu server 24.04 - Nex1337 - 2024-08-31 @TheDreadPirate You were right, it was a problem with the phone. I actually checked on the tablet, and it transcodes with no problem at ~17% cpu usage, without stuttering. What puzzles me is why when I play a 4k movie through the browser or jellyfin app on windows 11 the playback method is direct playback instead of transcoding since my monitor is 1080p so it should transcode?. CPU usage is 30%. Edit. I turned off "Prefer fMP4-HLS Media Container" and CPU usage dropped by half, and it started transcoding. |
