RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.11 - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-30 Can you start a new thread (since this is an announcement thread) and provide your server OS, server specs, what version of jellyfin you're running, and what version of the Android TV client you are running. RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.11 - HenkoHallows - 2024-10-15 When is the Flatpak gonna be updated? Great job btw <3 RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.11 - TheDreadPirate - 2024-10-15 The server flatpak is community created and supported. Not official. Additionally, it is not recommended to run servers via flatpak anyway. RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.11 - Host-in-the-Shell - 2024-10-15 I think both the troubleshooting and general questions subforums would benefit greatly from a pinned thread that lists the officially supported installation methods. All supported install methods are in our documentation and on our downloads page. https://jellyfin.org/downloads/server https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/installation/ RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.11 - Host-in-the-Shell - 2024-10-15 Sure, but some people don't read the docs first, unfortunately. An example that comes to mind are some Linux Mint users: since Jellyfin is provided on their repositories, they assume that installation is official and post here immediately asking for support. If the general questions and troubleshooting forums had a pinned post that listed the official methods or would at least link to those sections of the documentation, they may be able to see it before asking for help and even realize they could rework their installation to track an officially supported method. |
