But on the host each folder needs permission conner jellyfin not just the media. i.e: var lib docker volumes jellfin_media movies music tv As thdreadpirate said, it's easier to have your media mount to the /media folder RE: Media Identification - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-23 The guide that theguymadmax linked (my guide) mentions that whatever user is trying to access a directory needs a minimum r-x permissions on every directory in that path to navigate to the directory that you've given your user full permissions to. So while your media directory is owned by you, your user may not have sufficient permissions to navigate to it. If you're struggling with linux permissions, move your media to /media. That way you can safely just grant yourself full ownership of that entire path. |
