Great job! Thanks to the whole team!
Are there any plans to implement hardware acceleration support for the "extract chapter images" task, just like we have for "trickplay"?

The performance benefit from that is not high enough to do so I think. For trickplay, hardware acceleration is already not always faster than CPU.

Thanks for the answer!
It may not give a speed increase, but it will reduce the CPU load.
I think it may be useful for weak CPUs.

RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.10.0 - MCMXC - 2024-10-27

Had an issue starting my container on 10.10.0. Would not start database corrupted.

Resolved rolling back to 10.9.11.

Will hold tight for now

Friends, you did a beautiful job!
It's really a lot of work with this new version.

But everything goes down the drain if your client don't keep up with you.

It is necessary to make the applications (Android TV first and foremost) more pleasant, easier to find the contents, divided by collections, divided by categories, divided by playlists, a bit of plex must be integrated and a bit of netflix must be integrated.. .
I have over 4000 movies and 1500 TV series, every time to find something interesting, I don't have to scroll through the whole list based on just the title and the poster.

We need to improve the graphics.
I believe it is an absolute priority to improve the user experience even for those less familiar with plugins, it must be within everyone's reach

Thanks again for this new version!!!

Stolen from Niels:
  1. Install 10.10
  2. Open plugin catalog
  3. Search for "Chapter Segments Provider"
  4. Install
  5. Restart Jellyfin
  6. enjoy intro skipping for all media with proper chapters

I wish the blog post included that info instead of being opaque about the plugin name.

Thanks for this big update. It is hugely appreciated. I enabled the plugin as described, but was unable to understand how intro skipping works. Is there some scan required for this? Can that scan be manually triggered? Or maybe my media is just too poorly tagged? Maybe there is more documentation still to come https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-plugin-chapter-segments/blob/master/README.md ?

We will share more about what media segments are and how you can use them in a separate blog post that will be published in a week or so. There isn't "just one" plugin to use it, it's way more than that!
