RE: [Help] Jellyfin outputs stereo instead of 5.1 on Zidoo Z9S - obi - 2025-01-08 I tried. Same issue. Maybe it's due to the binhex-jellyfin docker ?! I've seen another jellyfin docker on the Unraid Community Application (linuxserver's Repository for exemple). RE: [Help] Jellyfin outputs stereo instead of 5.1 on Zidoo Z9S - TheDreadPirate - 2025-01-08 It shouldn't matter, but I've seen weirder stuff. Try the official jellyfin/jellyfin image. Other users have also had unexplainable issues with the linuxserver image. RE: [Help] Jellyfin outputs stereo instead of 5.1 on Zidoo Z9S - obi - 2025-01-09 I tried with jellyfin/jellyfin image and the problem is still here. Unfortunately this issue must be here for a while... I found this : https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-only-stereo-sound-on-mibox-s It's a shame that it works on Plex but not on Jellyfin ------- EDIT/update: I did try another external player (Just Player), but I didn’t try the internal Zidoo player (used by HomeTheater4 / Google Video Player or something like that, I don’t remember exactly). With this player, it works—I get the 5.1 sound! There’s just one small annoyance: when I stop playback, I get a 'Mark as watched' message where I need to choose whether or not the file should be marked as watched. (I don't have this when I use Home Theatre 4) Overall, it works more or less correctly. However, it’s strange that with the player used by Jellyfin, it doesn’t work. |
