All I want is to be able to view my own files, on my own device, where-ever I am. It looks like Jellyfin is the best going alternative. Thank you for having me Tom RE: The Introductions thread - swapster - 2025-03-22 Hello, I'm Hyatt, I've been testing out Jellyfin and Jellyseer with a full {apps we don't talk about - TDP} on my laptop and I'm very satisfied with it. Tailscale is used to funnel the Jellyfin and Jellyseerr apps out of network and ensure I can host anytime without needing modify the settings of whichever router I am connected to. I can effortlessly host my media server wherever I travel! I limit the outbound rate to 10mbps per user and transcode everything on the fly using Apple's VideoToolbox HW encode. I have been really happy with the results. Eat your heart out, Plex! |
