RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - Alliyance - 2025-11-06
I appreciate it, but i currently have more issues, high CPU usage as well. Tried to reinstall the server again(version 10.11.0) and now i can't add my libraries, they basically show up empty, and having high CPU usage as well. I'll just go back to the previous version and wait for a fix.
I read someone saying he had a high CPU due to his antivirus that had quarantined Jellyfin. Incase it might be your case also.
Not my case though, i'm on Fedora, don't use antivirus. I had to uninstall the server due to this issue, Jellyfin just kept pushing my CPU for no reason. Aside from the fact that, after i reinstall the server, all my libraries showed up empty. I'm using my backup server on Windows for now(still on 10.10.7), till a new version drops. RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - User 9863 - 2025-11-06 I tested this release and just like 10.11.0 I am getting the same error "no such table: UserDatas". It's already been reported on github so I'll just try the next version Thanks again for the hard work! It seems like I'm just an unlucky user
RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - Duvel - 2025-11-07 Some more feedback as I read people reporting CPU usage issues... So I installed 11.1 last Saturday, and 11.2 on Wed. After a week I've got enough testing and data to state that it works flawlessly and sweet on my end. Here you can see the last 10 days on my server Dell PowerEdge T640 1 CPU Intel Xeon 2300 MHz. Vmware Esxi 6 - Ubuntu 22 - Docker ![]() On top you have all Jellyfin streams per user (20 unique users on the last 10 days), and below the CPU and RAM used by the server. CPU usage is slightly better (the spikes are transcodings coz I dont have a GPU), and RAM usage dropped dramatically. Additionally no user has reported any issue, and I do have a myriad of different clients. I can thus state that it works. GOOD JOB! RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - termy - 2025-11-09 Thanks for all the effort - but this is the first release, i have issues with unfortunately. I experienced the issues with 10.11.0 as well, but restored 10.10.7 for the time being - but with 10.11.2 i get the same issues. Update and Migration went fine, scanned the library without issues, i see all my movies, collections and so on, CPU usage looks normal. But i have some strange issues when playing on my LG TV with the WebOS-App - one movie has a very green tint (that can be mediated by switching from BT.2390 to hable, not ideal of course), one movie has short pauses every 20-30s. Everything goes back to normal when i revert to a 10.10.7 backup. I can see no indication of any issues, warnings (well, just a warning for the manifest for the skip intro plugin, but i get that on 10.10.7 as well) or errors in the logs - neither with the migration nor when playing back. I'm kind of at a loss on how to narrow the issue down further - any advice for that would be appreciated ![]() One thing i'm uncertain about: i've blocked the TV from accessing the Internet, so the App is about one and a half year out of date - could that be related to the issue? Anyone got any idea why I'm getting hundreds of these error entries since updating in the JF logs?? I cannot see anything obvious wrong, furthermore, I thought TagLib had been retired in a previous version due to non-maintenance by the dev? RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - Kandy - 2025-11-09 That bottom error about webroot is in my logs as well, and when searching for it on github, found it was in a LOT of user's logs. Seems harmless at the moment? Not sure about the rest tho, sorry RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - raulo1985 - 2025-11-12 Hi: What's the current recommendation regarding the prefer fMP4-HLS setting when it comes to the WebOS and iOS clients with JF 10.11.2? I understand that there's a bug on the native HLS player in WebOS that causes playback issues, that apparently are mitigated when enabling the short HLS segments settings while having fMP4-HLS enabled, and leaving it disabled has the trade off that probably Dolby Vision files are most likely going to get converted to standard HDR. Some months ago there was a change on jellyfin-web that made it use hls.js instead of the WebOS native player and I read in a couple of threads that it was recommended to leave fMP4-HLS enabled in that case (since the native player was not used, enabling fMP4-HLS shouldn't have issues and you preserved the capability to play Dolby Vision files without issues), but now that change was reverted due to other issues apparently caused by hls.js (so back to native HLS player again). Should I leave that setting disabled and just accept the trade off with Dolby Vision? Has anyone had experience with the native player (no hls.js), fMP4-HLS enabled and short HLS segments enabled and still experienced playback issues? I'm kind of confused as to what is the recommended way to set my WebOS client now after the changes made to jellyfin-web, and I can't find a definitive official answer. And the same question regarding the iOS official client. Should I leave fMP4-HLS enabled? Thanks in advance! RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - tomstephens89 - 2025-11-14 How far are we off a .3 minor release that addresses database locking and API performance issues as reported all over the Github? Particularly with API calls and music libraries. RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.2 - matt1984 - 2025-11-15 Hopefully an update soon which stops the crashing whenever a library scan occurs - and the “home movies and photos” working like in 10.10.7. Really hoping these are all eventually fixed so I can move to 10.11 at some point |
