You can check the Activity dashboard.  It appears to log downloads.

activity shows me playing whilst local (WIFI), disconnecting, then playing whilst remote (mobile data).

this is only an issue when using Infuse.
if i use the Jellyfin app then it correctly applies the remote bitrate limit, when using Infuse it doesn't.
