Subtitle available but not enabled by default? - fhireman - 2025-01-07
I'm watching a show called Parks and Recreation which only has .mkv files but no separate matching .srt files.
Each episode does have 2 subtitles(see screenshot below) that work perfectly with the episode but for some reason they are always off by default when a new episode begins and I can't seem to enable it/choose the first option for each episode of the entire show.
Other shows that do have .srt files actually have the captions on by default.
Is it possible to always enable them for this show in Jellyfin?

This is in a browser or Jellyfin Media Player, correct? Settings > Subtitles > Subtitle mode > Always. Make sure the language preference is also set.
