Using Jellyfin together with other media server software - wayner - 2023-09-14 I have been primarily been using SageTV and Plex as my media server. These run in dockers on an unRAID server. I want to try Jellyfin so I want to install a Jellyfin docker and point it at my existing folders for media - like movies and TV shows. If I do this will Jellyfin do anything that could screw up Plex or SageTV? Like changing filenames or changing the media files? Does Jellyfin write anything to the media folders? I would guess that this isn't an issue, but wanted to make sure before I try it out. TIF RE: Using Jellyfin together with other media server software - bitmap - 2023-09-14 Jellyfin will only write something to the media folder if you* tell it to do so (nfo files, artwork). It does not change filenames. You can run them side by side. RE: Using Jellyfin together with other media server software - wayner - 2023-09-14 Thank you very much. |
