Swap audio tracks on same media with different qualities - Cebah - 2025-01-22 Greetings, I was wondering if there was an automated way in JellyFin to use an audio track from a lower-resolution media on a higher-resolution one that doesn't have the needed dubbing. E.g. Shrek 4 in 4k but the audio tracks are missing italian audio, same Shrek 4 but in 720p with italian dubbing. I haven't seen anything of such "automated", nor in JellyFin. I know you can use a script to automate ffmpeg to replace the audio tracks, but it would still need some kind of manual work, I'm looking for either a JellyFin plugin / feature or an external tool. Thanks for any advice! RE: Swap audio tracks on same media with different qualities - TheDreadPirate - 2025-01-23 If the audio tracks are embedded, there is no automated way to do what you're asking. You'd need to manually transfer the audio track into the video you want it in or just extract it as an external audio track. Our documentation for how to name external subs and audio is linked below. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/external-files/ MKVToolnix and ffmpeg can be used to copy an audio track from one file to the other. |
