Problems with the connection to Jellyfin on my Synology - DominikS. - 2025-01-23

Hello,
I started using my new 423+ yesterday. As an alternative to the video station, I have now - actually - decided to use Jellyfin. The installation in Docker was also quite easy. With the link from the web server, I can also access it from my notebook with Opera. It works fine. But that's it. Neither the Android tablet with Chrome nor my smartphone with the app can find the server in the LAN. It doesn't matter whether I try it on the laptop with jellyfin:8096/web/index.html or with the LAN IP. Nothing works. I have deactivated the firewall on the disk station once. I have no success. It is confusing that it works from the Windows 10 laptop via browser, but not from the tablet. All devices are on the same network.
I have now gone through all the settings in Docker and in jellyfin and followed all the descriptions. Where else could I start?

Thanks for help

Is the Android phone on a separate WIFI network? Is it connected to a repeater or something like that?

Hi,
i use the same WIFI network without repeater. All Divices are in the same room. Yesterday I had the problem that I couldn't access Jellyfin on a second Notebook. This actually only works on one notebook, but on that one it works multiple times at the same time using different browsers.
I can access the Synology desktop from all systems without any problems.

Backing up a bit. When you say "link from the web server", is this something that Synology does? Is the NAS acting as a reverse proxy for all containers? What address is this link using when you hover over it? Is it using a sub-path or something?
