libraries not loading - iwishiknewmore - 2025-01-24
Hello!
since yesterday on the official jellyfin windows desktop app my libraries no longer load, the series library is the only one i can select, except it shows nothing, like its empty, and clicking on the movies and collection libraries simply does nothing. I can however play things which i can see under continue watching, up next or recently added, i can also view movie/series info through this way, and search also works. Its just the libraries which dont work, however on all my other devices it works great, same in the browser, its only the desktop pc app which has this problem, another laptop is fine. ive already tried logging out and back in, repairing and reinstalling the app, and checking the library.db file using sqlite3 with the PRAGMA integrity_check; command, which returned everything was ok. the Jellyfin logs also dont show anything of interest, only access from the ip, and the playback, but nothing about the libraries.
Id greatly appreciate any help as i cant figure this out, thanks!

Go to C:\Users\yourUser\appdata\local and delete both "jellyfinmediaplayer" and "Jellyfin Media Player" folders.
Open JMP, log back in. Is the problem still occurring?

i think it was likely this! a regular uninstall through windows didnt wrk, but i tried uninstalling with revo uninstaller which is much more thorough and that has done the trick, thanks for the input!
