Backup your Jellyfin Instance on a Raspberry Pi - JonathanPi - 2025-01-26

Is it correct I only need to back up /etc/jellyfin  and /var/lib/jellyfin?
  • Raspberry Pi 4 + SSD with media
  • Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
  • Architecture: Arm64
  • Linux 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8
  • Jellyfin version: 10.10.5

By doing jellyfin, I also found these directories:
  • /home/my_user/.local/share/jellyfin
  • /usr/lib/jellyfin
  • /home/my_user/.config/jellyfin

If I restore these file to a fresh installation of Raspberry OS, what else would I have to do to have Jellyfin running again?
