Intel Arc A380 8-Pin vs 75w - JPKribs - 2023-09-17

Hey all,

For Jellyfin transcoding, is there a noticeable performance difference between the 75w (No psu pins) and the 8-Pin A380? In particular, the Sparkle A380 looks to be $90 where I am and doesn’t require power so it’s good for the used optiplex. I just wanted to check if skimping on the power connector would cost me in terms of QSV performance.

Media engines on ARC GPU are fixed-function hardware so they are energy efficient.

The 8-pin connector may only be beneficial for gaming and overclocking.
