Metadata Downloaders Priority List - Leiesoldat - 2025-01-26

  • Jellyfin versions
    • server 10.9.11
    • web 10.10.3
    • build 10.10.3
  • Proxmox LXC -> Debian 12
  • Jellyfin repository
  • Vivaldi 7.1.3570.35 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • Edge Chromium Version 132.0.2957.127 (Official build) (64-bit)
  • Firefox 134.0.2 (64-bit)

I'm having issues with The Office being identified as some other show despite putting the official TVDB id in the folder, i.e., "The Office [tvdbid-73244]." I'm pretty sure it's because TVDB is down at the bottom of the list of priority metadata downloaders, however, I am unable to move TVDB further up the list. The interface itself allows the up arrow to be selected (gradient color changes hovering over the button and the tooltip "Up" is displayed), but when clicking, the entry doesn't move anywhere. Same goes for trying to move items down the list. I've tried this both in Vivaldi, Edge Chromium, and Firefox with the same result.

Is there another way to specify the priority list order without going through the interface, like going through command line?

Thanks.

That's likely the issue how did you upgrade?

Do you have any extensions on those browsers that could be interfering? Can you try clearing cache? Just tested on Firefox and had no issues. You also may want to try the down arrow for the others and see if that works.

The upgrade is just done through "apt update && apt upgrade" from the command line. Currently Jellyfin is being held back from upgrading by the package manager. I did force the update a couple days ago and had to rollback a snapshot because everything went to crap on that container.

I'll try clearing the cache for that IP and see what happens.

Edit: Clearing the cache would not have applied to Edge Chromium or Firefox since I just tried those browsers today, and Firefox was a fresh install and check right before I authored the thread. None of the arrows work in the interface for the priority list, either up or down.

Edit2: Alright looks like the package manager resolved its issues because the upgrade just went through without packages being held back and nothing has gone to crap on the streaming side. Marking post #2 as the solution. Thanks to you both for helping on troubleshooting.
