Firestick app question - Seanmc980 - 2025-01-30
I just got excited updating my Jellyfin server, but the Firestick app still looks the same.. I was hoping to get some of the new features and themes. Does anyone know if this is planned for the future? I'm pretty disappointed in the Firestick app as far as customizations. I'm running what i think is the latest 18.4. Thanks!

The Android TV (firestick) app is updated separately from the server and web client.
Right development focus for AndroidTV is fixing playback issues.

Also, the Android TV app is a "native" app. So changes in UI on the server/web UIs don't affect the Android TV app, nor any of our other native apps (Roku, Swiftfin) or 3rd party native apps (Finamp, Findroid, Symfonium, Infuse, etc.).
Only web based clients would inherit UI changes and themes from the server (Android, Jellyfin Media Player, WebOS, Tizen, Jellyfin Mobile on iOS).
