Issues playing HDR/7.1 Audio Content - EgoRiot - 2025-02-01

Hi there, I am running a Jellyfin docker on my Synology 923+
When trying to watch some media files on my LG C1 Jellyfin app, I get stuck with an infinite loading screen but can watch the content perfectly fine on my PC (although recent check seems to have the movie lagging in Chrome atm), Mac and iPhone via browser app or Infuse media player
The media files seem to be HDR/7.1 Audio and one time I got the media playing but the colors looked off.
I currently have DTS and TrueHD audio settings on despite no surround sound as otherwise this one show I am watching buffers a lot.
I have the prefer ffmpeg setting turned off, True Tone mapping turned off, and have hardware acceleration disabled and support for HEVC and AV1 turned on currently in the Dashboard settings
I've updated my Synology Jellyfin app to the latest version and doublechecked the LG Jellyfin app version as well
Let me know if other log data/configuration settings are needed

Your TV did not report its HDR support so the server tonemapped it, and your CPU is just too slow for software tonemap which caused this infinite loading.

What are my options to fix this? Looked at the guide for Synology hardware acceleration capable devices and know mine isn't. Wasn't sure what else I can do

Try watching Jellyfin in the WebOS browser? Not sure what else to try. The video shouldn't have been transcoded, unless as Gnattu said, WebOS isn't properly reporting codec support to the server.

Also, how did you install Jellyfin on your NAS? The "app" of Jellyfin? Or are you using Docker?
