Swiftfin - Select Versions - NeuroDawg - 2025-02-02
I have a client who uses my Jellfyin Server on his Apple TV (tvOS), with the latest version of Swiftfin. But Swiftfin won't allow him to choose the version of the movie to watch.
I have The Final Cut and US Theatrical Release of Blade Runner. When he attempts to watch this movie on his client, he has no option to select the version to play, and the play button defaults to playing the US Theatrical Release.
I can choose versions of movies with the Jellyfin app on my iPhone (iOS), as well as the android version running on my own client (Nvidia Shield TV), as well as when watching using Kodi on my Shield.
Since I don't use Swiftfin, I'm unable to provide any clear direction to him.
Any suggestions as to how he can select versions would be much appreciated.

I believe this a known limitation. Swiftfin is currently undergoing a revamp, but there is no tvOS version yet. Only an iOS version.
Your current options are to wait for the revamped version to get a tvOS release, purchase Infuse, or get a Roku or Android TV based client.
