Unable to connect to server via android - osprey - 2025-02-03 I'm running jellyfin version 10.10.5 on windows 10. I am trying to connect to the server on my Android phone. I am using the Play Store app, updated today (v 2.6.2) When I click "Choose Server" my desktop server pops up, but when I click Connect I get the following message: Tried 2 candidates for input, without success. Unable to reach server: -https://127.0.0.1:8096 -http://127.0.0.1.8096 Local HTTP port number = 8096 Allow remote connections to this server = checked All networking settings are default. Jellyfin is allowed through my firewall. But as a test I disabled my firewall completely and I am still having this issue. RE: Unable to connect to server via android - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-03 This is a known bug in 10.10.5. The IP advertised by service discovery will always be the local loop back. You will need to manually type the LAN IP of the server until 10.10.6 is released with a fix. RE: Unable to connect to server via android - osprey - 2025-02-04 Thanks for the quick response! That fixed it!! |
