random / repeat playback option in android app? - Lexx - 2025-02-03

I'm trying to use JF via chromecast w/google TV device on a kiosk tv at my office, we have a playlist of videos we'd like to randomly shuffle play on repeat.  At present we're using folder view.  I can't figure out how to get our video collection to all play, only single files play at the moment.

Browsing the JF server via chrome browser, I can login, see the folder of files, and play individual files. I see the options for play all and shuffle, but neither work - "Playback error unable to find a valid media source to play".

I have 10.10.5 server installed and most recent androidtv version 0.18.4

The "Play All" option from the library doesn't work. Instead, you'll need to add the items to a playlist. To do this, right-click on the item in the library to open the multi-select option. Then, in the top-right context menu, select "Select All" and add the items to a new playlist. On the home screen, you'll now see your playlist library. From the Android TV client, you can play all the items in that playlist with a shuffle option. However, please note that there is no loop functionality.
