Best Mini PC for 4-6 concurrent transcodes - ojmaster - 2025-02-07 Hey all, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a decent mini-pc that can run between 4-6 concurrent transcodes on Jellyfin. Been seeing a lot of people say get an Intel NUC N100. I saw this Beelink Mini S13 but I'm not really sure if this is powerful enough. I'm not too good with the hardware aspect of these things so I could really use some help here. I'm not looking to spend too much tbh which is why that Beelink seemed right for me (max ~$300 USD). I only intend to use it for Jellyfin, HomeAssistant and maybe 1 or two other smaller apps. I currently am running Jellyfin on this Beelink SER5, I bought it when I was just starting out selfhosting and it's pretty powerful but I read on the Jellyfin Docs that AMD Graphics is not the best choice for Jellyfin and Intel is more preferred. I am also using it for like 30 other things which is why I am looking to separate Jellyfin into a more dedicated device. RE: Best Mini PC for 4-6 concurrent transcodes - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-07 This was answered in chat. For those finding this on the forum, an N100 will not be able to handle 4-6 4K transcodes. Especially if they are tone mapped. 4-6 1080p transcodes WITHOUT tone mapping, no problem. |
