Unable to Search for Picture with Tags - gary-jf - 2025-02-09
I have a new Jellyfin 10.10.5 server.
I have created (1) new Media Library with Content type "Home Videos and Photos"
I have uploaded some pictures and videos to this library.
I can see the associated tags in the pictures and videos metadata on the Jellyfin server; however, when I search for any of the tags associated with any of the pictures or videos, I get the message "Sorry! No results found for "Dad" or "boat" or "lake" - these are just some examples of the tags associated with my pictures and videos.
Does anyone know how to enable searching for tags for personal pictures and videos?

Jellyfin does not search tags in 10.10. In 10.9 we added tag searching, but it caused significant performance penalties when searching and was removed in 10.10.
You can give JellySearch a try. I believe it will search tags.
