Is it possible to set different language for image and textual metadata - SquishySquash - 2025-02-16

Hello,

I was wondering whether is it possible to configure library to use two languages for metadata downloading. One language for the graphical metadata such as posters, miniature, logo etc.
Second language for textual metadata such as title, description etc.

I simply have my own preference that i would like to see original English posters for movies (the ones tagged in database with my language simply suck) but for the description i would like Jellyfin to fetch it from database in my native language.

Right now I'm obviously manually editing each movie pick of images while the descriptions are fetched automatically in my native language.

I've tried using Library management options, mixing "Preferred download language" and "Country/Region" but no results there.

You can only set one language at a time per library. To do what you're asking you'd have to use an external tool to create NFOs for metadata and have Jellyfin read in the NFOs by disabling all the online providers.
