Global password - coolguysomethingsomethgin - 2025-02-19 Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to enable a global password which users would have to complete before they are able to select a user account. As in, I'd like anyone who visits my site to only be presented with a password prompt before they can see the users in my Jellyfin instance. This is mainly a security and ease of use thing, as I would like to be able to show all the registered users and be able to easily switch them from the web interface but also not allow anybody who manages to stumble across my public facing website to see the names of every user until they have provided some authentication. I don't see a way to do this now in the Jellyfin settings. Wondering if I'm missing something or is this not possible right now? RE: Global password - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2025-02-19 That's not a feature that's available with Jellyfin right now. RE: Global password - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-19 In each user's settings you can "hide" that user from the login screen. If you do this for ALL users, anyone coming to your site will be shown the username and password prompts instead of a list of users. |
