Cast List Not Fully Populating? - KodiUser1138 - 2025-02-22 Curious issue, I find the cast list to behave oddly at times, randomly refusing to display the complete list, despite previously showing specific cast members. This occurs specifically for me (as I don't monitor it elsewhere) in my AEW shows where I manually update the cast as the roster changes and update cast images accordingly. Today I've found at lesat 2 cast not displaying in JF while they work in my default non-JF based Kodi, complete with working image links. Previously these cast where displayed. This seems to occur when the cast changes to inclue/remove someone but who and why appears random. Confusing. Just going through the cast list from the series NFO compared to what shows in JF, there should be 117 male performers but only 99 show in JF, 38 female roster but only 33 display, 6 of 7 officials display, 6 of 7 announcers, 9 of 9 correspondents, 9 of 13 coaches/managers and finally 1 of 1 TK. So out of 192 active cast only 163 are displayed. And it's random where they are dropped out not like the list populates in order up to a certain point then stops. Nothing about these cast are any different than any other, aside from the specific info in them. For example I just tested by duplicating one missing enry, changed the cast order number and BOOM that entry now show up. This also increaded the total number in the cast to 164. If I change the number of the original cast slot, nothing happens. This isn't mission critical, but very random and annoying. Just very confusing. RE: Cast List Not Fully Populating? - TheDreadPirate - 2025-02-22 I'm not familiar with the specifics, but I believe Jellyfin limits the number of cast/crew it initially pulls down. And other users have reported odd behaviors similar to yours that I haven't been able to quantify or explain. His cast list appears to be fully complete. But mine is not. I've not upgraded his server from 10.0 yet but unsure if that may be the culprit. All the cast lists for the show is manually managed by myself. I've seen this happen once or twice before but now it's incredibly noticible. Completely unsure why though. Should also mention this action spreads across 3 seperate TV shows who all use the same cast list, as well as episodes within those shows that use this version of the cast list. Seemingly certain cast are just forgotten over time. Yet on a seperate seever with the exact same source info it seems to work fine. And my sever was a complete rebuild recently. Compared my non-JF Kodi master to both my JF server and my friend's JF server I manage. His is fine. Mine is missing 29 cast. RE: Cast List Not Fully Populating? - KodiUser1138 - 2025-02-24 Not wanting to start a new thread but also finding issue with person entries with the same name. Example Steve McQueeen. There are (at least) 2 of them, one the American actor who passed away in 1980 and the other the british director who is still very much living. In my server I can't get Steve McQueen (III) to properly scrape as the later gentleman, and insteadn while trying to use identify I end up with a person born in the 60's who died 11 years later and is an actor but has a photo of a black director. It's kind of maddening. The regular Steve McQueeen is the actor, as it should be. And films identified in his library are correct.
