Jellyfin iPhone bug - Lord Worm - 2025-03-07
Jellyfin stops playing music when I change tab on my phone, minimize or close the screen. I want to have Jellyfin as a proper music player but I don't want to have my phone screen open all the time or my phone being unusable whenever I want to listen to music. Is this "feature" indented? Has anyone experienced the same issue? A few months ago I remember that something like this didn't use to happen, however back then it wasn't detected by Apple's media player, so I couldn't skip any songs or pause from the lockscreen

Give Finamp a try. Great for music, has offline playback and downloads (both original quality and transcodes). You will need to join Apple Testflight as the original version only has an Android version. The redesign, which is available on iOS, is still in beta via Testflight.
