Hi: Glad to have found this forum!!!For multiple audio codes like Dolby atmos,DTS etc is there a repo or add on to enable them directly or with a passthru setting?Thanks sorry if asked before!!

Direct play support for all codecs is managed by clients, essentially. When a client requests to play something it tells the Jellyfin server what it supports. If you're requesting to play a Dolby Atmos file on a client that does not support Atmos, the JF server will transcode that audio. Same goes for video.

I am using a NVIDIA shield 2019 Pro & a Homatics Box R 4K Plus have both set to passthru on plex which works fine on that app......but with jellyfin only have direct play as a option???thanks for your help!

To enable passthrough, select "Direct" for audio output in the playback options. Additionally, make sure "Bitstream Dolby Digital" is enabled in the advanced playback settings.
