Roku client HEVC setting - mooch91 - 2025-03-15
Hi all,
This setting in the Roku Jellyfin client is ambiguous to me:
Playback->Compatibility->Disable HEVC
“Disable the HEVC codec on this device. This may improve playback for some devices (ultra)."
Is the ENABLED setting the one that DISABLES HEVC?
Or is it the other way around, when set to DISABLED, HEVC is DISABLED?

Enabling that setting disables HEVC support. Meaning any HEVC videos you have will be transcoded.
I have a 4802X and have no issues with HEVC playback.
