Keep getting error on Mac install & won't run - nycwipeout - 2025-03-27
I downloaded the AMD64 installed and launched, nothing happened. Checked activity monitor and saw server was running but no client interface. So killed both PIDS & deleted app.
Downloaded ARM64 version, click to launch & get error "Jellyfin Server was unable to start underlying jellyfin process.". Checked online & one reddit recommendation was to delete...
If you want to completely start fresh with Jellyfin on macOS, there's two folders to delete.
- Delete the folder
~/.config/jellyfin/
- Delete the folder
~/.local/share/jellyfin/
The user who asked about same topic said that did the trick, but not for me.
How can I get this working?

When the server start it won't bring up any client interface because there is none. You have to open a web browser and navigate to http://localhost:8096 (from the same host running it) or http://192.168.X.X:8096 (or whatever the Mac's LAN IP is).
