Jellyfin on Roku TV - mzgz - 2025-03-28
Hello!
I've been using Subsonic for several years on my TCL Roku television to play my music collection on (hosted via my desktop in another room). Recently, TCL Roku updated their system and made several apps "no longer supported". (Ugh, I spent two days on the phone with them only for them to shrug and say "sorry, get a new tv"!) SO, looking around to find another Roku-ready app to host my music, I found Jellyfin. It took me some figuring out to get it to work, but I did get it going! However, it's utter chaos when I look at it now! I get ten million single artists to scroll through (most appearing one time on one album, etc). None of this is helped by me having several TBs of music.
I've combed over the instructions as best I could but haven't really found anything to help. HOPEFULLY I'm just missing something obvious. I've no problems lookin' the fool if I can get this working!
Any suggestions?

While in the Music library, press * on your remote, move to the View menu and select "Albums". I don't recall if this view is preserved between sessions.
But that could all change later tonight. A major revamp of the Roku app will be published later tonight US PDT.

Now, for example, if I have a box set, all 9 discs are shown individually... but, minor problem I can live with.
