Grid titles on Roku player - ChrisWolf - 2025-03-30
Hi, I seem to be going round in circles. The new v3.0.0 app appeared on my Roku Express, killing everything. After a server update all was back. In some folders I have a bar at the top where I can chose various viewing options such as presentation or grid view. I want the title to dispay under each tile, which I can do switching to grid view. However, in some folders, I do not have that option. I have enabled "always show" in the interface settings. Prior to the update they all dispayed names and tiles. Any ideas? Thanks

What library type? I haven't been able to reproduce on my setup.

Looking in the libary it says "Other" these are the ones with issues

I'll do some testing when I get home, but "Other" is usually the label for the Collections library, the Mixed library type, and uncategorized live TV recordings.

It comes up as "other" in everything except Movies, Shows and Music. I suspect it is the mixed movies and shows that displays as other, Titles show up on PC but not on the Roku app

Not sure if this was intended, but can confirm what you are seeing and I don't see a workaround.

On the Roku app, I see the bar at the top of movies and I can select grid. This displays the poster and title (I selected always show in user interface). It shows "movie" in the library as expected. In any other setting i.e. mixed movies and shows, shows I just see in the library "other". On the Roku app I just see the poster and title on hover. On the PC in a browser I see everything I want in all folders. Poster and title always displayed.
