Subtitle Settings Not Applying - morrowindmemes - 2025-04-07 Jellyfin Version: 10.10.7 Installation Method: Linux Docker No matter what settings I change the SRT subtitles always appear like this: Tested on Chrome and Edge W11 clients also Edge PWA. The only setting that is working is vertical position. Jellyfin Media Player doesn't have this issue. RE: Subtitle Settings Not Applying - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-07 If I had to guess, since this happens across browsers, there is some OS level captioning setting you have enabled that is overriding whatever you set in your browser/Jellyfin. RE: Subtitle Settings Not Applying - morrowindmemes - 2025-04-07 Yes, you are right. Just set some weird yellow on blue style under accessibility -> captions on windows settings and after restarting the browser, subtitles reflected that change. How do I make sure the browser's settings are the priority? RE: Subtitle Settings Not Applying - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-07 I'm assuming you enabled the captioning settings for a reason. If disabling captioning is not an option for you, I'm not entirely sure how to prefer the browser settings. I don't have a Windows desktop anymore so I can't poke around. And Google searches aren't returning any clear answers regarding preferring the browser's caption settings over the OS. RE: Subtitle Settings Not Applying - morrowindmemes - 2025-04-07 Yes, I've enabled live captioning feature in the past out of curiosity, but I don't use it anymore. Anyway, thanks for your help at least the "Large text" option makes it readable. |
