jellyfin not showing as DLNA service - jmansion - 2025-04-13
I have installed 10.10.5 on FreeBSD using the package.
I have enabled the DLNA plugin (bversion
.I have enabled DLNA debug logging.
Its working OK in all respects except one.
It has scanned my music directory and downloaded artwork etc, and I can play from a web browser.
It is receiving uPnP from my TV (an ond Sony) and my Windows workstation (running WMP). I can see this in the logs.
However, I cannot see any sign of it advertised to the TV or WMP as a music library - which is what I actually want.
What would I look for in the logs?
The only [ERR] not related to images or where to write album art is:

which seemed to be ephemeral.

Can you share your full log via privatebin.net? And can you show a pic of what you are seeing on the screen? I don't have any older "smart" device that use DLNA, but when I use VLC as a DLNA client it shows my music library.
