Moved trickplay-files don‘t get recognized - Strike - 2025-04-26 I had my trickplay-files saved next to my media. Than I wanted to migrate it to metadata/library. I managed to get the correct guid from library.db and the files are in the correct location with the correct permissions now. For exampel: /jellyfin/config/metadata/library/77/77c4250ff4197386207971dadda4c55d/trickplay/320 - 10x10 And in this folder there are files like 0.jpg etc. Now when I trigger „Generate trickplay-pictures“ Jellyfin just ignores the files and genereates new ones. Is it possible to make Jellyfin recognize the already generated pictures? I found no references in the library.db. RE: Moved trickplay-files don‘t get recognized - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2025-04-26 Did you use the task in the dashboard to migrate them? No I used a script to move the files from the media folders to the metadata folder. As far as I know the migrate button is for older versions of the trickplay plugin, but I generated the trickplay files in the newest Jellyfin version with „save trickplay-pictures next to media files“ (or something like that) and than wanted to move them from the media folder to the metadata folder. Everything happend on Jellyfin 10.10.7 btw. RE: Moved trickplay-files don‘t get recognized - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2025-04-26 There is no older version of trickplay. You are thinking of Jellyscrub which was a 3rd party plugin. The built-in trickplay stuff works with what is currently built into Jellyfin. To fix this, you need to use the task in the dashboard to move them. Now all the trickplay files are in the metadata folder. I wish I knew earlier about the task, it's so handy. |
