"Enable VideoToolbox" invisible on Intel Macbook Pro - will.rkr - 2025-04-29
I installed Jellyfin on my Intel Macbook Pro to evaluate it's performance and a few other machines. Per the guide, I tried to enable HW acceleration for 4K stream. But the transcoding hw option is not visible in playback. I installed the latest stable Mac native app as a server (v10.10.7) on my Macbook. Googled / searched this site but couldn't find any additional steps to enable VideoToolbax in Jellyfin.

Out of the box I'm unable to get even a single 4K playback using Jellyfin even with more powerful hardware. The same 4K stream work fine with Plex with HW acceleration even on an old Celeron J3455.
