Fatal Player Error - aqw409 - 2025-05-03 Hello Everyone, Here is the setup: Truenas running jellyfin docker. All folders and datasets used, have permissions set to everyone(testing purposes) GPU pass-through to jellyfin. Hardware acceleration turned on. (Nvidia gpu) Truenas has a cache ssd, but that's for the entire pool. All jellyfin folders during setup in truenas are set to the same location The issue I'm having. I have a few HEVC files in .mkv that I can't open. I've tried on firefox and on my android phone via the app. If I convert the exact file to h264 in mp4 format it works fine. Permissions for folders and files are the exact same. With or without hardware acceleration, it faults only on the HEVC files. Here's what the log says as the last few lines, Stream mapping: Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (hevc (native) -> h264 (h264_nvenc)) Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (aac (native) -> aac (libfdk_aac)) Press [q] to stop, [?] for help [hls @ 0x55d0751aeb40] Opening '/cache/transcodes/691a14b600c22e940d449a3adf3e2382-1.mp4' for writing [hls @ 0x55d0751aeb40] Failed to open segment '691a14b600c22e940d449a3adf3e2382-1.mp4' [out#0/hls @ 0x55d0751a13c0] Could not write header (incorrect codec parameters ?): Permission denied [vf#0:0 @ 0x55d0751a2340] Error sending frames to consumers: Permission denied [vf#0:0 @ 0x55d0751a2340] Task finished with error code: -13 (Permission denied) [vf#0:0 @ 0x55d0751a2340] Terminating thread with return code -13 (Permission denied) [out#0/hls @ 0x55d0751a13c0] Nothing was written into output file, because at least one of its streams received no packets. frame= 0 fps=0.0 q=0.0 Lsize= 0KiB time=N/A bitrate=N/A speed=N/A Conversion failed! It reads like it doesn't have access to the transcode cache folder, but that should be inside the jellyfin dataset that is set to open right now. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
