What to do if jellyfin keeps showing select a server after recomposing your container - couchpotatochip21 - 2023-06-23

Came across this issue when deploying my jellyfin container. If your web client keeps showing select a server after you re compose your docker container you need to click on the lock next to your URL in your client's browser and clear the cache/cookies for jellyfin. If the lock isn't there you can look up how to clear the cache and cookies for a single site in your browser or just clear all your cache and cookies for every site (not recommended as you will have to sign back into all other sites like google and amazon).
Hope this helps someone in 3 years or smth

see description of post for solution, wanted to share this as I needed someone to tell me what to do.

Thanks. Is there a way to clear the cache every single time we re-compose? I am facing a bit different of an issue. It is really annoying having to type in my server's ip address + port, and username + password every time I recompose lol.

That should not be necessary to reauthenticate when restarting the container. This might indicate an issue with your installation.

In any browser CTRL+F5 should refresh without loading from cache.
