Roku Clients - BooBounder - 2025-05-04 I have a Synology DS NAS. I manage my media with Jellyfin, running on the NAS. through a browser on a PC on the same LAN. But sometimes we play media through Roku's in other parts of the house. Can anyone recommend apps for Roku that are geared towards music? I find the Jellyfin app on Roku to be decent for general media playback, but I'd like something with more features for music playback specifically (that will play nice with Jellyfin on my NAS). I am not necessarily looking for something that is terribly "feature rich". Rather, trying to minimize user complaints that they've found a couple of useful features on whatever phone app they're using this month. RE: Roku Clients - crobibero - 2025-05-04 As far as I know the only Roku client that is compatible with Jellyfin is the official Jellyfin app. You could also try DLNA but that will likely be a much worse experience. RE: Roku Clients - BooBounder - 2025-05-04 Thx. Both suggestions are helpful. Anyone else? (FWIW: for my collection, Jellyfin's flexibility beats Plex hands down. I like the Plex player on Roku, but it doesn't play nice with Jellyfin's organization on the server). RE: Roku Clients - BooBounder - 2025-05-06 Fast forward and reverse within a song would be nice. Being able to see (on the Roku side) the favorites I marked on the PC side. Your cursor should now be in the seekbar. Using left/right move the pointer to the desired location and press OK.
