Search subtitles on the fly - JellyStream9839 - 2025-05-04 Hi, I'm trying out Jellyfin, coming from Emby, and I'm looking for a feature that Emby has implemented. In Emby, when a piece of media is playing, you can open the subtitles section and select to "Search for subtitles". This will then bring up a menu where you can select a subtitle and it will be immediately downloaded and start to play with the video. ![]() ![]() It's actually very similar to how Jellyfin has searching for subtitles outside of when the media is playing ![]() Does something like this exist in Jellyfin? If not would the project be interested in it if I were able to implement it myself? Thanks. RE: Search subtitles on the fly - bitmap - 2025-05-06 Have you tried the OpenSubtitles plugin? I seem to recall I was able to search for subtitles on....Roku? However, I don't think that functionality is widely deployed. Subtitles are always an issue, so I don't think a PR would be frowned upon. |
